On Tuesday 13 October, Hang Day Stadium hosts a special night: Cong An Ha Noi play their first home match in the AFC Champions League Elite, Asia's top club competition. The opponents are Kashima Antlers of Japan.

A tough start in Osaka
On 15 September CAHN opened away at Gamba Osaka and lost 4-1. Usami scored twice, in the 29th and 67th minutes, and Perea scored Vietnam's only goal in the 79th.
Five Japanese opponents
Of CAHN's eight league-stage opponents, five are from Japan: Gamba Osaka, Kashima Antlers, Kyoto Sanga, Vissel Kobe and Kashiwa Reysol. The others are Shanghai Port, Beijing FC and Johor Darul Ta'zim. All four home games are at Hang Day, the last against Johor on 16 February 2027.

Two matches in three days
Two days earlier, on 11 October, Hang Day hosts Ha Noi FC against Bac Ninh in the V.League. Two competitions with different standards on one ground within 72 hours means a fast turnaround for the pitch, security, ticketing and broadcast areas.
